Barres tendres bretzels et chocolats croustillants
Are we the only ones who crave a sweet and salty homemade soft bar? It's the perfect colorful snack for a school day, or even a nature hike.
Ingredients
- 250 mL (1 cup) quick cooking oats
- 250 mL (1 cup) crispy rice cereal (Rice Krispies type)
- 1 egg
- 60 mL (¼ cup) honey
- 5 mL (1 tsp.) vanilla
- 80 mL (⅓ cup) pretzels, cut into small pieces (you can crush them right out of the bag)
- 80 ml (⅓ cup) coloured sugar-coated chocolates cut into pieces (such as Smarties, M&Ms or mini eggs)
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit
- Line a square baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix together the oats, crispy rice cereal, egg, honey and vanilla.
- Add pretzels and chocolates and mix well.
- Pour the mixture into the pan and press it firmly with your hands or a spatula.
- Bake the mixture for 15 to 20 minutes, until the top is lightly browned.
- Let cool for a few minutes, then cut your soft bars into pieces.
